This piece was Moulder's first lighting sculpture. He built it first as a candleholder made from rings of slate with a candle in the middle. When he lit it and watched as soot and wax began coating the entire piece, Moulder promptly realized the sculpture would be more effective with an electric light source. He wired up a low voltage MR16 lamp at the top, and his lighting career was born
